A Level results
Sorry but I want to tell the world.

I'm a proud Dad.

My daughter picked up her A Level results this morning and she achieved 3 A*s which is brilliant.

She wants to be a doctor and has already been offered a place at Exeter University.

As you were.

Maniac,

My youngest has already told us she won't be doing A Levels (last year of her GCSEs next year) and we're trying to persuade her otherwise.

She's also bright but is very lazy!

I've seen so many stressed out / disillusioned doctors that I'd recommend thinking it through long and hard.

Yeah, She said she didnt want the massive debt for something she wasnt sure she wanted to do. Cant blame her.

We did try to talk her in to it but she put up a good argument...Its her life blah, blah.

These days, it's not the end of the world to change your mind. Many places welcome older students.

When I was at university, there was a fellow who enrolled in an undergraduate course on Asian History. He was about 70 years old and a retired vet.

No, Uni is not the big deal. We are trying to trade one of against the other at the moment. The Uni is one thing, South Africa is another.
